Tracee Ellis Ross was a Glamorous Flapper on the Season Finale of Black-ish [GET THE LOOK]

The much anticipated Season 1 Finale of ABC’s Black-ish aired Wednesday, May 20th 2015 and it was fun, upbeat, and full of amazing Roaring 20’s fashion!

Tracee Ellis Ross was a Glamorous Flapper on the Season Finale of Black-ish! The hit TV show Black-ish had a star studded, art deco, season finale with appearances from big names including Mary J Blige and Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The episode, "Pops' Pops' Pops," was a 1920s flashback show told by Pops (Laurence Fishburne) about the Johnson family’s ancestors with the main focus of a love affair between Drexler Johnson Sr. (Anthony Anderson) and Bea, the woman on the moon (Tracee Ellis Ross). So why was this episode so important to us? What was our connection to the production? Our gorgeous dresses of course!

We, at The Deco Haus, were proud to see several of our stunning flapper dresses featured on the show. How did it all happen? Well, the very stylish Tracee Ellis Ross told them about our company. After we got a call from the studio, we rushed over several looks and the wardrobe team wanted 15 dresses and accessories for the shoot. What was more amazing is that two of our dresses were featured on the main characters, Tracee Ellis Ross (Dr. Rainbow "Bow" Johnson) who wore our Starlet Gown in butterscotch color and Yara Shahidi (Zoey Johnson) who wore the Lulu Gown in turquoise. Our Ritz Gown in black could also be spotted on the woman who was seen dancing with Diddy.

Bonus Note: On May 7, 2015, the show was renewed ABC for a second season.
