Refund policy
Due to the special-event nature of our garments, we do not accept returns for refunds. However, we are happy to accept eligible items for an exchange or store credit when the item is returned in new, unworn condition with all original tags, packaging, and garment accessories included.
To be eligible for an exchange or store credit, items must be:
● Unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and free of any stains, fragrance, makeup, deodorant marks, pet hair, or signs of wear
● Returned with the original packaging and all original tags attached
● Approved in advance with a Return Authorization number
Items that do not meet these conditions may be refused and returned to the customer.
Because fit and sizing can vary by style, we strongly encourage customers to contact us before purchasing. Our stylists are happy to provide sizing guidance based on your measurements, event needs, and styling preferences.

A member of our styling team will reach out shortly with a Return Authorization number and exchange instructions. Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Please note that original shipping fees are non-refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping unless otherwise arranged with our team.
EXCHANGE CRITERIA:
We request that all items be returned within 10 days after receipt of the RA number. We will not accept packages without an RA number.
Gloves, jewelry, and slips are final sale. Final sale items cannot be returned.
For our international customers: Many countries charge a customs fee on imported items. Please note, this fee is not included in your shipping charge or order total. Please contact your local government office for more information on rates and customs processing.
Packages returned due to refusal, non-payment of customs fees, or insufficient address will be treated as a standard return.

Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving any reason.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at hello@thedecohaus.com before the 14-day period expires. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but it is not obligatory.
You must return the item(s) within 14 days of notifying us. Return shipping costs are your responsibility.
We will issue a refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or proof of return, whichever is earlier, using the same payment method as the original transaction.
Condition of returned items & deductions: We may deduct from your refund an amount reflecting diminished value if the item shows handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and condition. For hand-made garments, this includes — but is not limited to — any of the following:
- Odors (perfume, smoke, or other)
- Stains, marks, or soiling not present at time of dispatch
- Damage to beading, embroidery, or embellishments
- Alterations or repairs attempted by the customer
- Removal or damage to any tags, labels, or authenticity documentation
- Signs of wear beyond trying on (e.g., deodorant marks, stretched seams)
Given the irreplaceable nature of Deco Haus pieces, we strongly recommend inspecting items carefully upon receipt and contacting us immediately if you have any concerns before returning.
