We just love to show off our swimsuits when we have a day off at The Deco Haus! One of the perks of living in Los Angeles is having access to some of the most beautiful beaches in the world. However, lately we've been burning the midnight oil working on new designs for our collection. So for now....our swimsuit fix must come from our favorite place on the web for inspiration, Pinterest!
While browsing through images on Pinterest, we were so excited by vintage swimsuit images for a few reasons. First, the colors are so refreshing and happy (great for summer!). We try to stay away from dull palettes right now because summer is all about fun in the sun....with a glass of Prosecco! Second, vintage swimwear design does not focus on sex appeal, but embraces the signature of the era (1950's, 1960's). Are you tired of wearing a bikini? Here are our top vintage picks from Pinterest.

This vivid yellow swimsuit matched with a bright colored headband is a perfect look. The pop of colors gives a real 1950's vintage vibe. Also such a great feeling to flaunt those curves, especially while expressing the fashion of the day. We love the shorts swimsuit! It looks so sporty and chic...

However, Dita Von Teese also shows us that wearing a classic black swimsuit is always in style. We love her signature pin-up/retro makeup style, as well as her big hat. Actually, she is one of our main style inspirations....check out the blog post here.

In the era of the 1950's, swimwear seemed to flourish. It was a time when women really started to celebrate being feminine and sexy. In terms of society, the rules were less strict. Women could really show off their curves. Mainstream fashion was varied, but some of the trends could definitely be traced back to our favorite era, the 1920's. Most of the swimsuits focused on the waistline because it was the major trend for femininity.
