Japanese kimonos are known worldwide for their beautiful patterns and historical images. In a previous post, we talked about how the kimono jacket has recently become a trend the past few years with fashionistas and designers. However, we think it would be super interesting to talk about how the Japanese garden has inspired fashion design, from the kimono and beyond.
The Art Deco Velvet Burnout Bolero Smoking Jacket- Japanese Garden is the latest jacket launched by The Deco Haus. The smoking jacket-style features a spectacular Japanese garden motif! This is such a versatile piece, as it can be worn most every season over almost anything. The velvet touch and magnificent details of the jacket don't require any statement pieces or accessories to boost the look. It has all the elements of a beautiful Japanese garden.

One of our contributors, Gail, just returned from Japan and had this to say about Japanese gardens. "I've gone to many gardens around the world and I can say that the Japanese garden is my most favorite. Sometimes, internet images show a totally different image from reality, but the gardens in Japan are even better than the photos. In my opinion, Zen gardens represent the serenity of the mind. The Japanese people have gardening classes, in which they can learn about the art of nature, as well as Bonsai classes. I went to the park located in Tokyo and it was flawless. All of the trees, Koi, and little waterfalls were magnificent" says Gail.
