The Starlet on Stage
We were honored when award-winning choreographer Valeria Solomonoff selected The Deco Haus for her tango performance at the opening of the Dance & Fashion exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City.
For the occasion, Valeria wore our Starlet Gown in black with silver beading. The gown’s Art Deco lines, hand-beaded detail, and fluid movement made it a natural choice for the stage. We paired it with a silver slip, which she shortened for ease of movement during the performance.
With her own accessories, Valeria transformed the look into something striking and entirely her own: elegant, dramatic, and made for dance.
The Dance & Fashion exhibition featured nearly 100 dance costumes and dance-inspired designs, spanning from the 19th century to the present. It was a beautiful setting for a Deco Haus gown — a piece rooted in vintage inspiration, performance, and Old Hollywood glamour.
